It is an essential oil widely used in aromatherapy for its respiratory, energizing, and circulatory-stimulating properties. Its fresh, resinous, and balsamic aroma is reminiscent of forests and has a powerful revitalizing effect both physically and mentally. It is obtained through steam distillation of the leaf. Used since ancient times as a natural medicine, the Greeks, Romans, and Germanic peoples burned pine needles to disinfect the air and treat respiratory illnesses. Physically

· Expectorant and respiratory decongestant: useful for bronchitis, sinusitis, productive cough, colds, and flu.
· Pulmonary and air antiseptic: purifies the environment and respiratory tract, and prevents minor respiratory infections.
· Adrenal stimulant: combats exhaustion and chronic fatigue.
· General and circulatory tonic: improves microcirculation and oxygenation, ideal for tired legs.
· Analgesic and anti-inflammatory: relieves muscular, joint, and rheumatic pain.
· Diuretic and depurative: promotes the elimination of fluids and toxins, and helps treat cellulite.
· Skin and scalp tonic: can help regulate oily skin, treat dandruff, and or weakened scalp. Commonly used in stimulating shampoos or hair lotions.

Uses and Precautions	For skin use (always dilued)<br>· Bronchitis, respiratory congestion: 3 drops of Sylvester pine essential oil + 10 ml of almond or hazelnut oil, massage into chest and back. · Fatigue and exhaustion: 3 drops + 10 ml of vegetable oil, apply to the lower back (adrenal glands) in the morning. · Muscle or joint pain: 4 drops of essential oil + 10 ml of arnica oil, massage the affected area. · Tired legs or fluid retention: 4 drops + 10 ml of calophyllum or cypress oil, massage legs upwards. For diffusion <br>· Air disinfection and purification: 4–6 drops in an ultrasonic diffuser for 20–30 minutes. · Can be blended with eucalyptus, ravintsara, mint, or lemon. For inhalation<br>· Nasal and bronchial decongestion: 1–2 drops in a bowl of hot water, inhale with a towel for 5 minutes. · Quick revitalizer: 1 drop on a handkerchief and inhale deeply (morning or midday). For oral use (professional supervision required)<br>· Not common, but it can be used in microdoses in specific cases (respiratory or urinary infections), always under professional supervision.
