Basil essential oil, methylchavicol (estragole) chemotype, is one of the most widely used varieties of Ocimum basilicum. It has a particular chemical profile, so its properties and dosage require careful use.

Uses and Precautions	For skin use (always diluted) · Menstrual pain / abdominal spasms: 2 drops of essential oil in 10 drops of vegetable oil (calendula, hazelnut, almond). Massage the lower abdominal area 2–3 times a day.<br>· Gas / slow digestion / irritable bowel: 2 drops in 10 drops of vegetable oil, apply to the abdomen using circular motions.<br>For inhalation<br>· Nervous or mental fatigue: 1 drop on a handkerchief or in the palm of your hand. Inhale deeply several times. · Improve concentration or mental clarity: Take a short, dry inhalation before studying or working.<br>For diffusion<br>· This chemotype is not commonly used due to its intense aniseed aroma, but it can be used mixed with: lemon, mint, rosemary cineole, or basil linalool. Dosage: 1–2 drops of basil CT methylchavicol per 5 drops of softer oils.<br>For oral use (professional supervision required) · Digestive spasms or parasites: 1 drop in honey or a vegetable capsule, once a day for 3–5 days. Do not extend use without supervision.
